RULES OF READING
THIS IS THE WAY EVERY SINGLE WORD IS READ. ALWAYS THE SAME AND ALWAYS IN THIS ORDER.
FIRST LETTER * FIRST RULE * S
FIRST LETTER This is the way we start out to read a word. First we have to identify the first letter. That is not alway that easy. We have to learn to look at the top left of the page and at the begining of the first word. Some children with differences start in the middle of the page and even in the middle of the word. My son Joshua did this. I practiced with him and he mastered the first rule. Identify the first letter of the word we want to read.
FIRST RULE The next rule is the most important and that is why it is called the first rule. You must look for the magic e. It is the next thing you do after identifying the first letter of the word. l You do not try to read the second letter untill you have done this. If you want to understand the first rule better and even practice it a little click here.
S S is the last rule. That is because if you are like me or my son Joshua then you are always forgetting things. So we always check at the end of a word just to make sure we say the s.
